This piece is a unique hand built piece that belongs to the KITE ONE OFFS series in the CUT & FOLD collection. On the external faces of the bowl, it has a pale blue volcanic glaze inspired in the colours and textures of the Rias Baixas. The inside has the same colour but without the bubble effect. It was hand formed joining 9 triangular shaped stoneware slabs. The base is triangular whereas the opening has a deltoid shape. Depending on the point of view the geometry varies, looking as if the piece tilts towards different directions. This is one of the sculptures included in the KITE ONE OFFS series, which is a line of work representing the kite surf world. As shown in the photos, all pieces contain a deltoid (or kite) in their geometry, and the glazes simulate colours and textures of the natural environments were the sport is practiced.

This item was hand crafted in our studio in Galicia, Spain. It has marks and small irregularities that are the welcome evidence of the hand made nature of the process. You will receive the exact same piece that is shown in the photograph, since it is a one off.

Even though this piece is not intended for food serving, it can hold liquids and it is food safe. However, the external surface with the volcanic glaze must be handled with care due to the delicate and sharp glaze bubbles.
