Workshop 5: BATHROOM SET

DATES: Wednesdays 22/10/25, 29/10/25 and 5/11/25

TIME: 3pm to 5pm

LOCATION: Rúa Martín Alonso Pinzón, 15, 36208 Vigo.

This 6 hour workshop is divided in 3 sessions of 2 hours. It will take place at Paula Ojea’s ceramic studio in Bouzas. You will learn the techniques to make in stoneware and decorate with colored engobes the following pieces:

• 1 soap dispenser. The plastic + cork pump is provided
• 1 soap dish
• 1 toothbrush holder
• 1 saucer for the tooth brush holder (optional)

Day 1: Modeling of the soap dispenser and toothbrush holder. General explanation on the engobe decorating techniques: Sgraffito, resists, mishima…

Day 2: Modeling the soap dish and the saucer (if required) and start decorating with engobes

Day 3: Finish decorating with engobes

 

ADDITIONAL INFO

• All materials are included
• No previous knowledge is necessary
• Reduced groups (6 people max). If you are a party of 4 to 6 people, you can choose the dates that suit you!
• You will be able to use all necessary tools
• We will take care of your piece during the drying process. Then we will fire and glaze it and let you know when it is ready for you to come and pick it up. Delivery is also available.
• Your piece will be dishwasher and microwave safe, because we will be using high fire materials and food safe glazes.
• The teacher is fluent in English in case you need it!
• Each student has a different rhythm , so we cannot guarantee that all of the students finish all the pieces.
• To master the ceramic techniques and processes requires a lot of experience and trial and error, and results are not always what we expect. The kiln surprises are part of the learning process.

NOTES:

Cancellation Policy: If we are able to find someone to fill in your place, or have a minimum of 4 people attending the workshop, we will give you a gift certificate to attend the workshop at another date.
